Apple Crisp

A delicious serving of apple crisp hot out of the oven and with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top is as comforting as it gets.
Also needed
- 180 ml (3/4 cup) melted butter
- 2.5 ml (½ tsp) cinnamon
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Peel the apples and cut them into equal quarters.
- In a frying pan, heat 15 ml (1 tbsp) butter over medium heat. Add the apples and cook for 3-4 minutes.
- Add the maple syrup and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Transfer the apple mix to a 33 cm x 23 cm (13 in. x 9 in.) baking dish.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon and remaining butter. Distribute it onto the apples.
- Bake for 30 to 40 minutes, until the top is golden-brown and crispy.
